Personalized protocol

For cancer patients pursuing metabolic therapy — and the caregivers supporting them.

  • You don't know if your protocol is actually working.
  • You struggle with discipline without accountability.
  • Your oncology team won't help with metabolic therapy.

Reach therapeutic GKI in 8 weeks — with the protocol to sustain it.

  1. Week 0 Bloodwork drawn at a Quest lab near you — 2,000+ US locations. Take the metabolic-flexibility assessment.
  2. Weeks 1–4 · Onboarding Weekly 1:1 coaching. Personalized protocol built for your metabolism and goals.
  3. Weeks 5–8 · Refinement Bi-weekly coaching to lock in your protocol and habits.
  4. Week 8+ Second blood panel. Side-by-side: where you were, where you are. You own the protocol.

"The protocol is working — all four markers in range. Sticking with it is hard and you did it. That hard work is showing up in your results."

Phase 3: Metabolic Maintenance

Shift Fasting Window to 18:6
Strict 20g Net Carb limit

Accountability

6 coaching calls over 8 weeks — weekly at first, then bi-weekly — plus async support between calls.

We ran the pilot deliberately small, with people we could work closely with. What we learned: when someone commits to the protocol and shows up to the calls, the metabolic response is reliable.

Getting to therapeutic GKI isn't the bottleneck. Staying consistent with the protocol is.

That's why we've structured the new program around commitment — a 15-minute strategy session, a defined 8-week arc, and a price that filters for people ready to do the work. We'd rather work with fewer people and deliver the outcome than scale by lowering the bar.

The science we read closest.

The clinical evidence and frontier research that shapes our protocol.

Median overall survival vs. control (13.7 vs 10.2 mo)

Ketogenic diet alongside chemo — well-tolerated, early signal

Randomized Phase 2 trial in metastatic pancreatic cancer. 94% of patients reached ketosis, no added toxicity, no decline in quality of life. Progression-free survival 8.5 vs 6.2 months. Larger trials needed.

Ketogenic diet in newly-diagnosed GBM

2025 Phase 1 trial established that a medically-supervised ketogenic diet is feasible and tolerated alongside standard-of-care for newly-diagnosed glioblastoma. Supports moving to larger trials.

Coached nutritional ketosis — without medication

Adults on a coached nutritional-ketosis program for one year cut insulin resistance in half and lost 30 lbs on average. The closest published analogue to what we coach.

Key concept

What is GKI?

Glucose Ketone Index — Dr. Thomas Seyfried's daily readout of where you sit between glucose burning and therapeutic ketosis. Formula: blood glucose (mmol/L) ÷ blood ketones (mmol/L). Below 4 = therapeutic ketosis — the number your coach reads each week to know your protocol is working.

Unscripted, unpaid. Real stories — individual outcomes vary.

"If you've been told it's over because of a terminal diagnosis, listen closely — it wasn't for me. And it doesn't have to be for you. I am living proof that possibility exists beyond our prognosis."

The team behind the protocol

MyMetabolism was founded by Lucas and Federico, both alumni of Dr. Thomas Seyfried's research environment at Boston College. We started MyMetabolism in 2024 with one conviction: metabolic therapy fails when people can't reach therapeutic GKI, and the field had no structured way to get them there.

Today, Lucas and Federico lead the company and MyMetabolism's coaches. We work directly under Dr. Seyfried's scientific advisorship and are building the team to bring this protocol to more cancer patients than ever.

One program. Built around getting you to therapeutic GKI.

Common questions

Fit & scope

Yes. We work with cancer patients pursuing metabolic therapy — and the caregivers supporting them. We are a metabolic coaching service, not a cancer treatment. We coach you through the protocol alongside your oncology care, never instead of it.
No. MyMetabolism does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. We are a wellness and coaching service that helps you reach therapeutic GKI under your medical team's care.
No — and that's the point. Your medical team handles diagnosis and treatment. Your coach works with you on the metabolic levers between visits that actually move your GKI: food, ketones, sleep, movement. You bring the numbers back to your oncology team.

Safety & medical care

That's a decision between you and your oncologist. We coach the metabolic protocol; your medical team makes the medical decisions. We'll discuss your situation on the call.
Ketogenic protocols have been studied for decades and are generally safe for most people. We always recommend discussing dietary changes with your medical team — especially during active cancer treatment.

How the program works

You're matched with a coach who has done this protocol themselves. They read your bloodwork, build your protocol, and stay with you for the 8 weeks — 4 calls in month 1, 2 in month 2, plus async support between calls.
Most members spend less than 10 minutes per day logging meals and measurements. Coaching calls are 30–45 minutes. Your weekly protocol does the planning so you don't have to.
You own the protocol. Continued coaching and community access are available month-to-month — we'll talk through your options on the call.

Getting started

Fifteen minutes. We discuss your current situation, your oncology context, and what the 8 weeks would look like for you. You'll leave with a clear roadmap whether you join the program or not. If it's a fit, enrollment and a payment plan get set up on the call.

Two months from now, what does your panel say?

The next panel doesn't have to look like the last one. Eight weeks, one coach, a protocol built around getting you to therapeutic GKI.
